The Yard Gym

Project Overview

Pride Plumbing NSW worked with Exclusive Build on the plumbing fitout of The Yard Gym across four of their recovery and training sites in Sydney's south: Menai, Kirrawee, Caringbah and Peakhurst.

The work covered the full wet-area scope. Ice baths, sauna rooms, showers, toilets, accessible bathrooms and a urinal, all built for constant daily use. At Kirrawee we also fitted a Zip tap for instant chilled and sparkling water.

The standout was the ice bath system. Rather than a standalone tub, we installed it as a complete system with a spa bath pump, drainage waste, hot and cold tapware, filtration and an ice chiller, so it performs every use.

Scope of Work

A full wet-area plumbing fitout across four gym sites, built for heavy daily member use.

• Complete ice bath systems, including pump, drainage, tapware, filtration and ice chiller
• Sauna room plumbing and connections
• Shower installations across all sites, including a copper double-head outdoor shower at Caringbah
• Toilet and urinal installations
• Accessible bathroom fitouts at Kirrawee and Peakhurst
• Zip chilled and sparkling water tap at Kirrawee
• Wet-area drainage, waste and tapware throughout

Our Approach And Solution

We worked alongside Exclusive Build through each fitout, coordinating the rough-in and fit-off around the build program so the wet areas were ready as each space came together. With multiple showers and bathrooms per site, the drainage and supply were planned up front to handle the load.

The ice baths got the most attention. Built as full systems, each one holds temperature, filters properly and drains cleanly every time it is used. The result is a set of facilities that look the part and stand up to the traffic a busy gym puts through them.
