Project Overview

Pride Plumbing NSW handled the plumbing on this bathroom renovation in Vaucluse, taking it from a rundown original bathroom to a high-end wellness retreat. The finished room brings recovery and bathing together in one space, with an ice bath, a three-person infrared sauna, a vanity and a toilet suite.

The standout features are the recovery fixtures. We installed a freestanding ice bath with its own filtration system, plumbed alongside a three-person Sunlighten infrared sauna, so the room works as a private recovery space as well as a main bathroom.

Our Approach And Solution

The brief was to turn a tired original bathroom into a recovery space without losing the function of a main bathroom. That meant planning the rough-in around both the everyday fixtures and the ice bath and sauna, which have their own supply, drainage and filtration needs on top of a normal fit-off.

We set out the wall mixer, shower and toilet positions before tiling, then plumbed the ice bath with a filtration system so it holds and circulates water properly rather than needing constant draining. With the sauna connected alongside it, the finished room gives the owners a full recovery setup at home, finished to the same standard as the rest of the bathroom.
